A List of Ditko Articles and Essays

The recent announcement of Steve Ditko's new essays seems to have generated some attention, including some from people who weren't aware of Ditko's extensive history of such essays.  Robin Snyder has helpfully provided the following list of those he's published (including both text and illustrated form) in his quarter century of publishing Ditko. I've added the location of the most recent printing of each entry (as Ditko often revised essays when they were reprinted, I recommend the most recent printing).

The most up-to-date version of this list will be hosted here.

  1. Any plans to collect Ditko's essays? Or even his recent work in hard-bound books?

  2. Even if we can't get a hardbound collection of his work or a trade paperback, any thought of a Kindle/ebook release of the essays? That might be easier to make and release, and it'd be found money in a lot of respects.

  3. Very useful list!

I wrote suggesting that Robin Snyder and Ditko do a kindle version, but they passed.

  4. Robin should absolutely collect all the Marvel era based essays and put them under one cover. And I am very pleased to see Ditko is writing about the era again. After the negative blow-back from a few people it seemed like Ditko had given up on the idea, so the new essays are a very positive sign.

  5. After Steve left Spider-Man back when I was only 9 yrs old it taught me a lesson. Things change. And no explanation why. I looked at the next issue and saw a new name and I never could get used to anyone else drawing spidey. I kept collecting until I was 16 or so and still consider Steve my fav artist. He's also a great plotter.
